Sports Day 2026

Dear parents and carers

You are warmly invited to join us for Sports Day on the afternoon of Friday 19 June. (This date is, of course, dependent on the weather being on our side. If the forecast is bad nearer the time, we will keep you updated.)

All children should come to school in their PE kit on Friday 19 June.

If the weather is cool or there is light rain, please ensure your child brings a coat.
If the weather is hot and sunny, please ensure your child has a water bottle, sunhat and sun cream. We advise putting sun cream on before they come to school, and bringing the bottle (named!) so they can apply a top-up at lunchtime.

The gates will open to parents and carers at 1:15pm. Please enter via the side gate.

During the afternoon, the children will compete in their class groups. Events will include the egg-and-spoon race, sack race, sprints and a teachers’ race. There will also be a parents’ race, so do wear your running shoes if you’re feeling competitive!

Please remember that mobile phones are not to be used on the school site. This includes no messaging or scrolling social media, as well as no calls. For the protection of all our children, we ask you to refrain from taking any pictures or videos during Sports Day, and just to enjoy the event through your eyes and not your screens. If you need to use your phone urgently during the afternoon, please make your way to the school office where phones are allowed.

We would also remind you that smoking / vaping and dogs are not allowed anywhere on site.
