The Minerva Primary School choir has been out and about in the local community over the last two weeks, singing carols at a number of venues.
The school was asked by Lavender Court, the residential care home down the road, whether some children could visit in the run-up to Christmas, so we put together a small choir to go out and perform some carols. The children sang beautifully, and the residents joined in enthusiastically and very much enjoyed the visit.
The choir also went to sing in the local Asda store, and at a coffee morning held in Halcon Baptist Church. Pastor Shaun Keating said: “The children are a credit to the school.” Particular thanks to Vikki, a stalwart member of the POMS (Parents of Minerva School) who accompanied the choir on two of their outings and made it possible for them to happen.
