Dear parents and carers
As I am sure you are aware, the Standard Assessment Tests (SATs) start next week (Monday 12th May – Thursday 15th May 2025). The children will be tested on their Maths and English knowledge, based on what they’ve learnt in primary school.

We would like to invite all Year 6s to join us each morning (Monday to Friday) at 08:15, where we will provide them with breakfast and give them time to wake up and get their brains working! (If your child already goes to breakfast club, we will ensure they join us to share breakfast with their friends.)
This week, we are helping the children to revise for next week to ensure they are ready to do their best when tackling these tests. You can help at home by encouraging the children to get a good night’s sleep each night.
We do not want the children to feel any pressure: all we are asking them to do is to show off their knowledge and skills, and to be proud to do so. We have worked on past papers so they are already familiar with the format and the types of questions that may come up.
The tests will be sent off to be marked externally and the results will not come back until July; they will be reported to you and your children at that time.
