The Academy Day

The school day is from 9:00am to 3:15pm, and children are required to be in school for the whole of this time – a total of 31 hours and 15 minutes across the whole week. Breakfast and after-school clubs are additional and optional.

Morning drop-off times

The side gate will open at 8:40am. Children should arrive at school by 8:55am in time for 9:00am registration.

Pupils arriving after the side gate has closed must sign in at the office.

Please send your child to school on time to avoid a late mark being recorded. Being punctual is very important and helps the day get off to a good start.

Afternoon pick-up times

At the end of the school day, pupils should be collected and leave the school site promptly.

• Parents collecting nursery children should enter by the carpark gate and collect their children at 3:00pm.
• All other parents should enter by the side gate, which will be opened at 3:15pm, and collect their children from their classroom door.

If you wish your child to be collected from school by an adult who is not on their list of contacts, you MUST inform the school in writing. An email to [email protected] is absolutely fine.

Please note that we only allow Year 5 and 6 pupils to walk home unaccompanied. Written parental permission is required.
