Breakfast & after-school clubs

Breakfast Club

We run a Breakfast Club from 8.15am each morning: this is free of charge but must be pre-booked in order for children to attend. There are 36 places available in the main school breakfast club (for children in Y1 to Y6) and 12 places in the Early Years breakfast club (for children in nursery and Reception).

Places up to the end of July 2025 should be booked on Parentmail. Places from September 2025 will be made available to book through MCAS when this app is launched to all parents. Places are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and there is always a high level of demand, so early booking is strongly advised.

We would like to draw a couple of safety considerations to parents’ attention:

  • Staffing levels at breakfast club mean that we can only supervise the advertised number of children safely. Parents who have been unsuccessful in booking a place for their child are requested not to bring them, as this poses a risk to all the children.
  • Breakfast club opens at 8:15am – any parents arriving before that time remain responsible for their children and must wait with them until the doors open. There is no supervision in place for children who are left on the school site before 8:15am.

After-School Clubs

The school offers a number of after-school clubs each term (autumn, spring and summer), depending on staff availability. These clubs are free of charge. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and must be booked through Parentmail (up to 2024-25) or MCAS (2025-26 onwards); there is a waiting list for club places.

Unless otherwise advertised, all after-school clubs run from 3:15 to 4:15pm, and parents should collect their children from the main gate at 4:15pm.

  • Children must attend club regularly. Children who have committed to a club are expected to attend every week, unless they have an illness or a medical appointment. If they do not attend regularly, they may have their place taken away and given to somebody on the waiting list.
  • The school expects the same standards of behaviour as during school hours. Children who refuse to follow adult instructions or disrupt the club and spoil it for other children will be asked to leave.

Summer 2025

  • Monday: Colouring & Games Club (Y2-6)
  • Tuesday: Invasion Games Club (Y2-5)
  • Wednesday: Cricket Club (Y4-6)
  • Thursday: Craft Club (Y2-6)
  • Thursday: Multi-sports Club (Y1-3)

Booking for these clubs has now closed on Parentmail, but enquiries about remaining places may be made to the school office.
