All primary school children in Reception to Year 6 are entitled to receive a free flu vaccination this winter. In light of the recent rise in flu cases and the impact this is having on our local hospitals, the NHS strongly encourages all parents / carers to have their children vaccinated.
Many of the children have already had the vaccination, which is delivered as a nasal spray, when the nurses visited school earlier this term. If your child did not receive the vaccination in school, and you would like them to have it, there are walk-in clinics running in Taunton on the following days:
These clinics will be in the Community Families Hub, East Reach House, East Reach, Taunton TA1 3EN. You can turn up at any time during the clinic, and do not need to book in advance.
